A company that means to fix the parts everyone tolerates should be willing to show its own. This site is the only thing it has built so far, so it is the only claim that can be checked. Every figure below is measured.

1. 01 / Type

   Three faces, none of them Inter.

   Instrument Serif sets the display, Geist the prose, Geist Mono the labels and numbers. All self-hosted and split by unicode-range, so a page fetches only the glyphs it actually sets — the Chinese page never downloads a Latin extended file it has no use for.

2. 02 / Colour

   Five values, and three papers dyed from them.

   Flax, slate and clay carry the three categories, matched in lightness to the base paper so scrolling past them does not strobe. Copper is reserved for the brand and never labels a category. Every pairing is measured from rendered pixels rather than from the hex values: grain multiplies over everything, and 11px letterspaced monospace loses better than a full ratio point to anti-aliasing. The worst pairing on the site is 5.05:1.

3. 03 / Schemes

   The plate is always the opposite of the page.

   Light sets charcoal on cream; dark swaps them. The plate swaps with them, so it is never the one odd surface on the site — it is the one consistent inversion. Its inner values in dark are the light scheme's, already measured, which is why the rule buys one palette instead of two. Every pairing was measured again in dark against the card as rendered, not the tint as declared: a material and a grain layer lift those cards about seven L* points.

4. 04 / Weight

   About 98 KB, cold, most of it typefaces.

   No framework, no bundler, no CDN, no analytics, and no third-party request at runtime. The Chinese page is the lightest of the three because it borrows the reader's own system faces rather than shipping a multi-megabyte CJK webfont.

5. 05 / Behaviour

   Readable with JavaScript switched off.

   Every reveal is gated on a class the page sets for itself, so a script that never runs leaves the content visible rather than hidden. The diagrams only conceal their strokes when something is guaranteed to bring them back. The language switcher is plain links, and the signup form posts natively and gets a page back.

6. 06 / Motion

   Off, when the reader has asked for it off.

   prefers-reduced-motion removes the animation rather than merely shortening it, and renders every element in its finished state. Verified by counting running animations, not by trusting the media query.

7. 07 / Drawings

   Made for this, not bought.

   The category schematics and the supply-chain plate are SVG drawn for this site; they draw themselves once, on arrival. The four material surfaces are generated images, sunk to between 13 and 28 per cent so the text above them keeps its contrast. Nothing on the site depicts a product, because there is not one yet.

8. 08 / Hosting

   Static files on Cloudflare Pages.

   No build step: the repository root is what gets served. A push to the main branch is the deploy.

9. 09 / The list

   An address, a language, a timestamp.

   Nothing else is stored. The IP is salted-hashed for rate limiting and those rows are swept after an hour — an address on a pre-launch list should not carry a location with it. A duplicate signup is answered as a success, so the endpoint cannot be used to test whether a given address is on the list.

10. 10 / Policy

    A content security policy that names what may load.

    default-src 'none', then the four things the site actually uses. There is no 'unsafe-inline' for styles; the single inline script is pinned by hash. A future dependency will break the page loudly rather than quietly working.
